My first post
Hi I'm Brooke and I'm an English education major. I am using this blog to explore famous quotes in plays. Many people say these quotes everyday without realizing their true meanings. How many times have you heard someone say "To be or not to be?" or "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" Small lines in plays can hold a big clue to what the time period was like, what the author believed in, and also show the audience a fundamental part of life or human nature. Through this blog I hope to discover more quotes and explore their meanings. I also hope hear thoughts about them from others.

I agree with you. It's the same in poetry also, there are certain words that an author uses or quotes that can sum up the poem. When reading poetry you have to go through each line and with plays you have to go through each quote because there is always a deeper meaning. Good job!
